Guided by our dedicated BCorp consultant Kirsty Dare at Super Vision, we're laying the groundwork and implementing practices that reflect our dedication to sustainability and the community.
As advocates for ethical business practices, we recognise the importance of viewing the environment and the local community as integral stakeholders. This perspective informs our policies, which are crafted with careful consideration, to meet the high standards of BCorp certification. Aligned with our core focus on Human-Centred Service Design, we're gaining invaluable insights into how our actions, and those of our suppliers, can best support our community.
In addition to policy development, we're actively engaging with our suppliers to assess their commitment to sustainability and diversity. Through surveys, we're gathering data on factors such as the percentage of renewable energy usage and minority group representation within these companies. These efforts mark just the beginning of our journey toward creating a more ethical and sustainable business model. Through BCorp, we endeavour to engage with other like-minded businesses that see the potential in ethical practices and how maintaining these standards leads to long-term resiliency.
Transparency is paramount to us on this journey and to obtaining and maintaining a BCorp certification. We're committed to sharing our progress openly and welcoming feedback from our community and BCorp, every step of the way. We will provide regular updates through blog and social posts to stay accountable and to seek feedback from the local community for continuous improvement.
